The Proline Promag P 300 is a high-temperature electromagnetic flowmeter from Endress+Hauser, purpose-built for demanding chemical and process applications involving corrosive liquids and elevated media temperatures. Its compact, easily accessible transmitter provides exceptional operational flexibility and seamless system integration.

The Promag P sensor features a bidirectional measuring principle that operates virtually independent of pressure, density, temperature, and viscosity. With no moving parts, the meter is maintenance-free and delivers energy-efficient flow measurement without pressure loss caused by cross-section constriction. The device is available with nominal diameters from DN 15 to 600 (½ to 24 inches).

Wetted material selection is extensive to ensure compatibility with diverse and aggressive process media. Liner options include PTFE and PFA, with the PFA variant available in a high-temperature version supporting media up to 180°C (356°F). Electrode materials are available in 1.4435 (F316L) stainless steel, Alloy C22, Tantalum, Platinum, and Titanium. Measurement accuracy is specified at ±0.5% for standard applications, with an optional ±0.2% high-accuracy version.

The transmitter is housed in a compact dual-compartment enclosure supporting up to 3 I/Os, and features a backlit display with touch control and WLAN access for convenient local operation. Digital communication options include HART, PROFIBUS DP/PA, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, Modbus RS485, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and OPC-UA, enabling broad system integration capability. The transmitter housing is available in coated AlSi10Mg or stainless steel 1.4409 (similar to 316L), with a standard IP66/67, Type 4X enclosure rating.

Integrated Heartbeat Technology enables continuous process safety monitoring and compliance verification, supporting measurement traceability in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements. The device is developed in accordance with IEC 61508 for functional safety applications and holds a comprehensive range of international approvals, including ATEX, IECEx, and cCSAus for hazardous areas.
