The Proline Promag W 300 is an electromagnetic flowmeter from Endress+Hauser, purpose-built as a specialist for demanding water and wastewater applications. Featuring a compact, easily accessible transmitter, this instrument is engineered for reliable measurement in hazardous areas and under harsh conditions.

The meter operates on a bidirectional measuring principle that is virtually independent of pressure, density, temperature, and viscosity, making it ideal for industrial and municipal water and wastewater tasks. Its patented full-bore sensor design eliminates pressure loss and requires no inlet or outlet runs (0 x DN), ensuring constant accuracy even in space-restricted installations directly after bends. The sensor is available with either fixed or lap-joint process connections and features a robust, completely welded construction for long-term operation.

Wetted materials are selected for durability and compliance with drinking water standards. Liner options include polyurethane, hard rubber, and PTFE, with international drinking water approvals including ACS, KTW/W270, NSF 61, and WRAS BS 6920. Electrode materials are available in 1.4435 (316L) stainless steel, Alloy C22, and Tantalum. Measurement accuracy is specified at ±0.5% of reading for standard applications, with an optional high-accuracy version at ±0.2% of reading. The nominal diameter range covers DN 25 to 2400 (1 to 90 inches), with measuring capabilities up to 263,000 m³/h.

The transmitter features a compact dual-compartment housing supporting up to 3 I/Os, with a backlit display featuring touch control and WLAN access for convenient local operation. An optional remote display is also available.
