Endress Hauser Proline Promass E 100 Coriolis Flowmeter 8E1C08 8E1C15 8E1C40
The Proline Promass E 100 is a cost-effective Coriolis flowmeter from Endress+Hauser, featuring an ultra-compact transmitter for the accurate measurement of liquids and gases across a wide range of standard applications. Offering minimized total cost of ownership and seamless system integration, it is the preferred choice for skid builders, equipment manufacturers, and system integrators.
The meter operates on the Coriolis measuring principle, where two curved measuring tubes oscillate in antiphase and the Coriolis force creates a phase shift proportional to mass flow. This direct measurement is virtually independent of pressure, density, temperature, and viscosity, ensuring robust performance under varying process conditions. The nominal diameter range covers DN 8 to 80 (⅜ to 3 inches), with measuring capabilities from 0 to 180,000 kg/h (0 to 6,600 lb/min).
The device provides multivariable measurement, simultaneously capturing mass flow, density, temperature, volume flow, corrected volume flow, reference density, and concentration. Mass flow accuracy for liquids is ±0.15% as standard, with an optional upgrade to ±0.10%. Mass flow accuracy for gases is ±0.50%, and liquid density accuracy is ±0.0005 g/cm³. The measuring principle requires no inlet or outlet straight pipe runs, enabling space-saving installation. Medium temperature range is –40 to +150°C (–40 to +302°F), and maximum process pressure reaches PN 100, Class 600, or 63K.
Wetted materials are selected for durability and compatibility. Measuring tubes are constructed of 1.4539 (904L), and process connections are available in 1.4404 (316/316L). The sensor housing is constructed of 1.4301 (304) stainless steel for corrosion resistance. The device holds material certificate 3.1 and is compliant with hygienic standards including 3-A, EHEDG, and cGMP.
The ultra-compact transmitter provides full functionality on the smallest footprint, ideal for space-constrained installations. Transmitter housing is constructed of coated AlSi10Mg and is rated IP66/67, Type 4X enclosure, with an optional IP69 rating for demanding washdown environments. A 4-line backlit display is available for local operation, and configuration is accessible via an integrated web server without additional software or hardware. Digital communication options include HART, Modbus RS485, EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS DP, and PROFINET. Power supply is DC 20 to 30 V.
Integrated Heartbeat Technology enables continuous process safety monitoring and compliant verification in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 (TÜV SÜD-attested) without process interruption, allowing extension of recalibration cycles. The device holds international hazardous area approvals including ATEX, IECEx, cCSAus, INMETRO, NEPSI, and EAC, with marine approvals from LR, DNV, ABS, BV, and CCS.
The Proline Promass E 100 delivers reliable, cost-effective Coriolis flow measurement for standard liquid and gas applications, combining an ultra-compact transmitter with multivariable measurement capability, space-saving installation, and the diagnostic power of Heartbeat Technology.
