Endress Hauser Analog pH sensor CPF201 CPF81

The Purisys CPF201 and Orbipac CPF81 are analog compact pH sensors from Endress+Hauser, each engineered for distinct application profiles. The CPF201 is the specialist for pure and ultrapure water, while the CPF81 is the robust solution for harsh environments including mining, industrial water, and wastewater treatment.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Application-Specific Design: The CPF201 is dedicated to pure and ultrapure water applications below 100 µS/cm, including boiler feedwater, power plant monitoring, and pharmaceutical water for injection (WFI). Its integrated stainless steel assembly ensures stable, flow-independent measurement at the lowest conductivities. The CPF81 is designed for harsh environments such as mining flotation, leaching, neutralization, and industrial wastewater treatment. Its double-chamber reference system with potassium nitrate bridge electrolyte and PTFE diaphragm provides resistance against electrode poisoning ions such as sulfide (S²⁻) or cyanide (CN⁻).

  • Robust Construction: The CPF201 features a glass electrode with a patented porous PTFE reference junction and salt (KCl) storage, installed in a stainless steel bypass assembly. The CPF81 uses a compact PPS housing with NPT ¾” process connection, protecting against mechanical damage.

  • Long-Term Stability: The CPF81’s second electrolyte bridge offers better protection against poisoning ions, ensuring reliable measurement in demanding media. The dirt-repellent gel electrode maintains performance even in fibrous media and at high flow rates.

  • Ex Certification: The CPF81 holds ATEX and FM approvals for use in hazardous areas, while the CPF201 is designed for non-hazardous industrial applications.

Endress Hauser Analog pH sensor CPF201 CPF81

The Purisys CPF201 and Orbipac CPF81 are analog compact pH sensors from Endress+Hauser, designed for the potentiometric measurement of pH in liquid analysis applications.

The Purisys CPF201 is the analog specialist for pure and ultrapure water. Its integrated stainless steel assembly provides stable and flow-independent measurement at the lowest conductivities, ensuring optimum water quality and the highest safety for products and assets. The sensor is specifically engineered for applications including boiler feedwater monitoring, power plant applications, and pharmaceutical water for injection (WFI). The measuring range is pH 1–13 for conductivities below 100 µS/cm, with a process temperature range of 2 to 75 °C and a maximum process pressure of 3 bar.

The CPF201 features a glass-gel compact electrode with a patented porous PTFE reference junction and potassium chloride (KCl) salt storage. This design eliminates flow dependency errors, ensuring stable pH readings and response even at the lowest conductivities. The electrode is installed in a stainless steel boundary surface within a stainless steel flow assembly, enabling potential-free measurements in ultrapure water. The sensor connects via a TOP68 connection head or fixed cable connection and is rated IP68 for ingress protection. An optional integrated Pt100 or Pt1000 temperature sensor is available.

The Orbipac CPF81 is the robust analog pH sensor for harsh environments, specifically designed for mining processes, industrial water treatment, and wastewater treatment. The sensor is suitable for flow and immersion installation, saving space and time during installation. Its measuring range is pH 0–14, with a process temperature range of –10 to 110 °C and a maximum process pressure of 10 bar.

The CPF81 features a gel-compact electrode with a double-chamber reference system, potassium nitrate bridge electrolyte, and PTFE diaphragm. This second electrolyte bridge provides better protection against electrode poisoning ions such as sulfide (S²⁻) or cyanide (CN⁻), ensuring long-term stability even in demanding media. The compact electrode is housed in a robust PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) polymer housing with an NPT ¾” process connection, protecting against mechanical damage. An optional flat membrane is available for high flow rates, fibrous media, and mining applications.

The CPF81 is suitable for monitoring flotation, leaching, neutralization, and inlet and outlet processes in mining industries and treatment of industrial water and wastewater. It connects via a TOP68 connection head or fixed cable connection, with an optional integrated Pt100 temperature sensor. The sensor is rated IP68 for ingress protection and holds ATEX and FM certifications for use in hazardous areas.

The Purisys CPF201 and Orbipac CPF81 deliver reliable, application-specific analog pH measurement, combining durable construction, long-term stability, and resistance to the specific challenges of their respective process environments.
