The sensor operates on the potentiometric measuring principle using a gel compact electrode with ceramic junction and ion trap. It measures pH, ORP, and rH value simultaneously, providing a better process overview and enabling tighter process control. The unique ion trap prevents poisoning of the electrode’s junction and reference, ensuring a long sensor lifetime even in media with high levels of electrode poisons such as H2S. This contamination-resistant reference guarantees stable measurement in polluted, poisoning media and in media with low conductivity. An optional pressurized reference ensures reliable measurement in blocking media such as dispersions.
The sensor’s ORP measuring range covers –1,500 to 1,500 mV. The pH measuring range is 0 to 14 for Application B and 0 to 12 for Application H. Process temperature range is 0 to 140°C (32 to 284°F), with 140°C for sterilization only and a maximum of 100°C in continuous operation. Process pressure ranges from 0.8 to 14 bar absolute for Application B and 0.8 to 7 bar absolute for Application H.
