Endress Hauser Proline Cubemass C 100 Coriolis flowmeter 8C1B01 8C1B02 8C1B04

The Proline Cubemass C 100 is a Coriolis mass flowmeter from Endress+Hauser, engineered with an ultra-compact transmitter for the accurate measurement of smallest flow rates in skids, test rigs, and industrial robotics. Neither high pressure nor alternating flow conditions compromise its accuracy. Featuring a space-saving single-tube design and integrated multivariable measurement, it delivers full performance on the smallest footprint while enabling seamless system integration.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Dedicated to Smallest Flow Measurement: The Cubemass C is the ideal sensor for measuring very low flow rates in compact systems such as skids, test rigs, and robotic applications. The measuring principle operates independently of physical fluid properties like viscosity or density.

  • Ultra-Compact and Lightweight Design: The sensor features a compact single-tube design, saving valuable installation space and making it particularly suitable for skid builders and equipment manufacturers. The transmitter delivers full functionality on the smallest footprint available.

  • Multivariable Measurement: Simultaneously measures mass flow, density, temperature, volume flow, corrected volume flow, reference density, and concentration, reducing the need for multiple process measuring points.

  • High-Pressure and Wide Temperature Capability: Handles process pressures up to 400 bar (5800 psi) and medium temperatures up to +205 °C (+401 °F), accommodating demanding applications.

  • Flexible Installation: The measuring principle requires no inlet or outlet straight pipe runs, enabling installation in tight spaces. Process connections include pre-configured plug connectors with a local display available as an option.

  • Convenient Commissioning and Operation: An integrated web server enables time-saving local operation without additional software or hardware.

  • Integrated Heartbeat Technology: Built-in verification ensures measurement reliability and enables traceable verification according to ISO 9001:2015 (TÜV SÜD attestation), allowing extension of recalibration cycles.

The meter operates on the Coriolis measuring principle, where a single straight measuring tube oscillates and the Coriolis force creates a phase shift proportional to mass flow. This direct measurement is virtually independent of pressure, density, temperature, and viscosity, ensuring robust performance under varying process conditions. The nominal diameter range covers DN 1 to 6 (¹⁄₂₄ to ¹⁄₄ inch), with measuring capabilities from 0 to 1,000 kg/h (0 to 37 lb/min).

The device provides multivariable measurement, simultaneously capturing mass flow, density, temperature, volume flow, corrected volume flow, reference density, and concentration. Mass flow accuracy for liquids is ±0.1%, for gases ±0.5%, and liquid density accuracy is ±0.0005 g/cm³. The measuring principle requires no inlet or outlet straight pipe runs, enabling space-saving installation. Medium temperature range is –50 to +205°C (–58 to +401°F), and maximum process pressure reaches PN 40, Class 300, 10K, or 400 bar (5,800 psi).

Wetted materials are selected for durability and compatibility. Measuring tubes are constructed of 1.4539 (904L), and process connections are available in 1.4539 (904L) and 1.4404 (316/316L). The sensor housing is constructed of 1.4301 (304) stainless steel for corrosion resistance. The device holds material certificate 3.1 and is compliant with NACE MR0175/MR0103 standards.

The ultra-compact transmitter provides full functionality on the smallest footprint, ideal for space-constrained installations. Transmitter housing is constructed of coated AlSi10Mg and is rated IP66/67, Type 4X enclosure for protection in demanding environments. A 4-line backlit display is available for local operation, and configuration is accessible via an integrated web browser without additional software or hardware. Digital communication options include HART, Modbus RS485, EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS DP, and PROFINET. Power supply is DC 20 to 30 V.

Integrated Heartbeat Technology enables continuous process safety monitoring and traceable verification in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 (TÜV SÜD-attested) without process interruption, allowing extension of recalibration cycles. The device holds international hazardous area approvals including ATEX, IECEx, cCSAus, INMETRO, and NEPSI.

The Proline Cubemass C 100 delivers precise and reliable Coriolis measurement for the smallest flow rates, combining a compact single-tube design, multivariable measurement capability, high-pressure and high-temperature resistance, and the diagnostic power of Heartbeat Technology.
