The Proline Promag H 300 is an electromagnetic flowmeter from Endress+Hauser, engineered as a specialist for hygienic applications with the highest requirements in the food and beverage and life sciences industries. Featuring a compact, easily accessible transmitter, it delivers full performance with maximum installation flexibility and operational safety.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Dedicated to Hygienic Applications: The Promag H sensor is designed for food and beverage and life sciences applications, featuring a stainless steel sensor housing (1.4301/304) with 3-A and EHEDG sanitary approvals. Wetted materials are CIP- and SIP-cleanable, with liner and seals compliant with FDA and cGMP standards.

  • Flexible Installation and Operation: Numerous hygienic process connections enable flexible integration. The compact dual-compartment housing supports up to 3 I/Os, with a backlit display featuring touch control and WLAN access for convenient local operation.

  • Maintenance-Free and Energy-Efficient: The bidirectional measuring principle has no moving parts, ensuring maintenance-free operation with no pressure loss due to cross-section constriction. Measurement is virtually independent of pressure, density, temperature, and viscosity.

  • Multivariable Measurement: Simultaneously measures volume flow, temperature, conductivity, mass flow, corrected volume flow, and corrected conductivity, providing comprehensive process data from a single device.

  • Built-in Heartbeat Technology: Integrated verification ensures measurement reliability, enables compliant verification according to ISO 9001 (TÜV-attested), and allows extension of recalibration cycles.

Endress Hauser Proline Promag H 300 Electromagnetic Flowmeter 5H3B02 5H3B1F 5H3B1H

The meter operates on the electromagnetic measuring principle, which is virtually independent of pressure, density, temperature, and viscosity. With no moving parts, the device is maintenance-free and delivers energy-efficient measurement without pressure loss due to cross-section constriction. The nominal diameter range covers DN 2 to 150 (¹⁄₁₂ to 6 inches), with measuring capabilities from 0.06 dm³/min to 600 m³/h (0.015 to 2,650 gal/min). Measurement accuracy is specified at ±0.5% of reading ± 1 mm/s for standard applications, with an optional high-accuracy version at ±0.2% of reading ± 2 mm/s.

Wetted materials are selected for compliance with hygienic requirements. The liner is made of PFA, and electrode materials are available in 1.4435 (316L) stainless steel, Alloy C22, Tantalum, and Platinum. The sensor housing is constructed of 1.4301 (304) stainless steel, ensuring corrosion resistance in hygienic environments. The medium temperature range is –20 to +150°C (–4 to +302°F), with a maximum process pressure of PN 40, Class 150, or 20K. The sensor is CIP- and SIP-cleanable, with liner and seals compliant with FDA and cGMP standards. It holds 3-A and EHEDG sanitary approvals.

The transmitter features a compact dual-compartment housing supporting up to 3 I/Os, with a 4-line backlit display featuring touch control and WLAN access for convenient local operation. The transmitter housing is available in coated AlSi10Mg or stainless steel 1.4409 (CF3M) similar to 316L. The device is rated IP66/67, Type 4X enclosure as standard, with an optional IP69 rating for demanding washdown environments. Digital communication options include HART, PROFIBUS DP/PA, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, Modbus RS485, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and OPC-UA, ensuring flexible integration into a wide range of control systems.

In addition to volume flow, the Promag H 300 simultaneously measures temperature, conductivity, mass flow, corrected volume flow, and corrected conductivity, providing comprehensive multivariable process data from a single instrument.

Integrated Heartbeat Technology enables continuous process safety monitoring and compliant verification in accordance with ISO 9001 (TÜV-attested). This technology allows extension of recalibration cycles and provides proof of measurement reliability without process interruption.
