Sensepoint XCD, Oxygen Sensor, 25%, Volume Only

This Oxygen sensor is a replacement unit for the Honeywell XCD O2 Transmitter, which as the name suggests is used to detect the presence of oxygen within the medium being transported through the system the XCD is monitoring. The sensor simply plugs into the bottom of the transmitter and the transmitter automatically configures itself accordingly.

The Sensepoint XCD Range

The Sensepoint XCD range provides comprehensive monitoring of flammable, toxic and Oxygen gas hazards in potentially explosive atmospheres, both indoors and outdoors. It’s easy to modify detector operation using the LCD and magnet switches without ever needing to open the unit. This enables one-man, non-intrusive operation and reduces routine maintenance time and costs.

Honeywell’s Sensepoint XCD system uses three instantly recognisable traffic light colours to indicate its status. Steady green to indicate normal operation, flashes yellow to indicate a fault/warning and flashes red to indicate an alarm. This allows anyone in the area to clearly see the status of any detector.

Product Overiew
Sensepoint XCD now has remote monitoring capabilities for its toxic and Oxygen sensors. Its remote capability is designed to offer excellent flexibility of use and is an ideal solution for hard-to-reach locations or areas where the transmitter needs to be separate from the sensor.

Sensepoint XCD is easy to use. Users can modify detector operation using the LCD and magnet switches without ever needing to open the unit. This enables one-man, non-intrusive operation and reduces routine maintenance time and costs.

A tri-color backlit LCD clearly indicates the unit’s status at a glance, even from a distance. A steady green backlight indicates normal operation, flashing yellow indicates fault and flashing red indicates an alarm.

The MTLx544 provides fully-floating dc supplies for energising two conventional 2-wire or 3-wire 4/20mA or HART transmitters located in a hazardous area, and repeats the current in other circuits to drive two safe-area loads. For smart transmitters, the unit allows bi-directional transmission of digital communication signals superimposed on the 4/20mA loop current. Alternatively, the MTLx544S acts as a current sink for a safe-area connection rather than driving a current into the load. Separately powered current sources, such as 4-wire transmitters, can be connected but will not support HART communication.
